Scope
Scope: This document specifies the sampling requirements, sample collection, record-keeping, sample sealing, sample preservation and transportation, and sample destruction for the quality and safety monitoring of raw milk in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. This document applies to the collection of raw milk quality and safety monitoring samples from purchasing stations, transportation vehicles, and free-range dairy farmers in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Terms and definitions: The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Raw milk: Unaltered whole milk expressed from the mammary glands of healthy cows that meet relevant national requirements. Colostrum within the first 7 days after calving, milk during and after antibiotic treatment, and spoiled milk shall not be used as raw milk. [Source: GB 19301-2010, Section 3.1, with modifications] 3.2 Monitoring: Systematically collecting, organizing, and analyzing data and information related to raw milk to understand the current status of raw milk quality. 3.3 Sampling: The process of extracting and combining samples within a fixed and effective working day. 4. Sampling requirements 4.1 Personnel: Sampling personnel must undergo training and assessment before taking up their duties, and work with a valid certificate. At least two personnel are required during sampling, with one designated as the sampling responsible person responsible for the specific implementation and coordination of the sampling process. 4.2 Procedures 4.2.1 Before sampling, actively present relevant documents and law enforcement certificates or work permits to the inspected units. 4.2.2 Strictly follow the procedures for sampling, sealing, numbering, and preserving samples. 4.2.3 Samples shall not be sent for testing after being collected by the inspected units. 4.3 Sampling tools 4.3.1 Sampling bottles, mixing equipment, scoops, plastic ladles, thermometers, low-temperature milk storage boxes, disposabl
