This document describes the method for assessing the human health risks during the use and removal of antifouling bottom coatings, in order to determine whether the product can be used safely when users are exposed to the antifouling active substances contained in the antifouling bottom coatings. This method can be used to assess the risks affecting professional or non-professional operators. This document does not involve special assessment methods for hazardousness and toxicity, nor does it recommend restrictions on the use of certain substances.
