Scope
This standard applies to single-blade manual feed woodworking circular saw machines (with or without a movable workbench) and woodworking panel saw machines with a movable workbench (hereinafter referred to as machine tools). They can be used to saw solid wood, particle board, fiberboard, plywood, as well as materials with plastic edging and/or plastic (light alloy) veneers. This standard applies to machine tools manufactured after the date of implementation of this standard. This standard does not apply to swing-arm universal woodworking circular saw machines; desktop woodworking circular saw machines, and handheld woodworking circular saw machines. This standard specifies the safety technical requirements and inspection methods for machine tools.
