GB/T 42658.4-2023 Surface chemical analysis—Guidelines to sample handling, preparation and mounting—Part 4:Reporting information related to the history, preparation, handling and mounting of nano-objects prior to surface analysis
Basic Information
Scope
This document provides information that should be reported in data sheets, analysis certificates, reports or other publications involving the preparation of nanomaterials for surface chemical analysis. This information is essential to ensure the reliability and reproducibility of the analysis required for research and technology applications involving these materials, and to gain a proper understanding of the potential environmental and biological impacts of nanomaterials. In addition to other detailed information related to the synthesis, processing history, and characterization of the samples, this information should also be part of the data records of the material sources and the changes that have occurred since their production (sometimes referred to as source information).
This document includes informative appendices. The appendices summarize the challenging issues related to nanomaterials, emphasize the need for enhanced documentation and reporting in material data records (see Appendix A), and provide examples of methods commonly used to extract particles from solutions used for surface chemical analysis (see Appendix B). A set of examples of relevant sample data is presented in Appendix C.
This document does not specify the types of instruments or operating procedures required to ensure that the described analytical measurements are properly implemented.
