Scope

Scope: This document specifies the construction of nursery beds, seedling transplantation, cultivation, seedling delivery, packaging and transportation, waste disposal, and file management for the cultivation of large-sized container nursery plants of Xiangnan Navel Oranges. This document is applicable to the production of large-sized container nursery plants of Xiangnan Navel Oranges; Main technical contents: 1. Terms and definitions: The definitions defined in NY/T 973 and the following terms and definitions are applicable to this document. 1.1 Xiangnan Navel Orange: Refers to navel oranges grown in cities such as Yongzhou, Chenzhou, Shaoyang, Huaihua, Hengyang, and Zhuzhou located between 110°E and 114°E and 25°N and 26.5°N. The main varieties are medium-ripe Navel oranges, covering early and late ripening varieties. The soluble solids content is ≥11%, and the fruits have distinct quality characteristics from other production areas, such as "red and clean, fresh and sweet, and fragrant". 3.2 Large-sized container nursery plants: One-year virus-free citrus seedlings transplanted into larger containers and cultivated for more than one year according to the technical regulations for virus-free container nursery of citrus. 2. Nursery bed construction 2.1 Site selection: Select a site with good environment, flat terrain, facing the sun, sufficient water sources, water quality meeting the requirements of GB 5084, reliable power supply, convenient transportation, and no pollution sources to establish the nursery. The area is determined according to the production scale. 2.2 Construction 4.2.1 Land preparation: Level the land, divide plots, and the area of each plot should be between 0.05hm2 and 0.6hm2; rationally arrange working paths and drainage ditches; configure auxiliary facilities such as water storage tanks and tool rooms. 4.2.2 Epidemic prevention facilities: Implement full-enclosed management of the nursery, install protective fences (nets) around the perimeter
