GB/T 42870-2023 Non-destructive testing—Specific methodology and general evaluation criteria for acoustic emission testing of fibre-reinforced polymers
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes the general principles of acoustic emission testing for fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) components and structures, which are used for material performance characterization and validation of FRP, quality control of component and structure manufacturing, online detection of service performance, and health monitoring. This document describes specific methods for evaluating the integrity of FRP components or structures using acoustic emission technology, or identifying major areas of severe cumulative damage or damage exacerbation during loading. This document describes general FRP acoustic emission testing evaluation criteria and provides a procedure for establishing evaluation criteria. This document provides a qualitative evaluation criteria format for acoustic emission test data used in online detection and post-analysis, which facilitates simplified comparisons of acoustic emission test results obtained from different test sites and testing institutions. Note: Structural integrity evaluation based on acoustic emission cannot be assessed solely based on the evaluation criteria provided in this document. In many cases, further testing and evaluation (such as using other non-destructive testing methods or fracture mechanics calculations) are also required.
