本标准适用于检验检测机构管理和技术能力评价时，对新建、改建和扩建的固定、临时和可移动检验检测场所的设施和环境条件的评价。也适用于检验检测机构对开展检验检测活动的固定、临时的和可移动检验检测场所的设施和环境条件的自我评价。
本标准不适用于仅从事科研、医学及保健、职业卫生技术评价服务、动植物检疫以及建设工程质量鉴定、房屋鉴定、消防设施维护保养检测等机构的设施和环境条件的评价。
