YY/T 1765-2020 Test methods for determination of total knee replacement constraint
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies a method for quantifying the motion constraint of total knee joint prostheses by conducting in vitro tests on the designed contours of the fixed joint surfaces under specific loading conditions.
This standard applies to the testing of anterior-posterior movement, medial-lateral shear, rotational loosening, and internal and external flexion-rotation motion constraints of knee joints, and can also be used for joint dislocation constraint testing.
Note 1: This standard aims to establish a standard test method for evaluating the constraint of total knee joint prostheses, which can be used to establish a database of the motion characteristics of total knee joint prostheses. The basic principles of this standard are described in Appendix A, and its significance and applications are described in Appendix B.
Note 2: This standard is not a wear testing method.
Note 3: This standard also includes methods for identifying the geometric parameters of the joint contact surfaces that may affect the above-mentioned motion and reporting the test results.
