Scope

Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, production area, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of Huining Board Blue Root, a geographical indication product approved by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (registration number: 24217333) in accordance with the Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China and other laws and regulations by the People's Government of Huining County (Huining Government Letter [2017] No. 15); Main technical content: The growing conditions of Huining Board Blue Root are as follows: an altitude range of 1450-2400 m, an average temperature of 3.5–9.6 °C, an annual rainfall of 100-300 mm, a frost-free period of 155 days, and a sunshine duration of 2,700-3,360 hours. The area has abundant water resources. The soil is fertile, loose, with a deep soil layer, and an organic soil with a pH value between 6.5 and 8.0. The soil environmental quality should meet the secondary requirements of GB 15618; the environmental and air quality should meet the first-level requirements of GB 3095 and the second-level requirements of GB 9137; and the irrigation water should meet the requirements of GB 5084. Seed requirements: The seeds are oval in shape, with a length of 3.2–3.8 mm and a width of 1.0–1.2 mm. The surface is yellow-brown, and the base has a small pointed protrusion (the seed handle). On both sides, there are distinct longitudinal grooves (the trace between the embryo root and cotyledon) and an indistinct longitudinal groove (the trace between the two cotyledons). The embryo is curved and yellow, containing oil. The embryo root is cylindrical, with two cotyledons lying against the embryo root.
