Scope
This standard specifies the principles, reagents, instruments and equipment, materials, samples, test procedures, data processing, detection limits, and precision for determining the content of organic tin in coatings using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of organic tin content in coatings, including but not limited to the listed organic tin compounds, such as methyl tin (MeT), dipropyl tin (DProT), monobutyl tin (MBT), dibutyl tin (DBT), tributyl tin (TBT), tetrabutyl tin (TeBT), monoethyl tin (MOT), diethyl tin (DOT), diphenyl tin (DPHT), and triphenyl tin (TPHT). The determination of organic tin content in raw materials for coatings can refer to this standard.
