Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for instruments, reagents, sample collection and processing, RT-PCR procedures, electrophoresis, and result determination for the detection of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) by RT-PCR. This standard is applicable to the rapid detection of PEDV nucleic acid in clinical samples (porcine small intestine and fresh feces) or cell cultures from pigs.
