Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, and test methods for portable digital medical X-ray imaging systems. This standard applies to portable digital medical X-ray imaging systems with dedicated imaging functions (hereinafter referred to as "equipment"). This standard does not apply to devices with fluoroscopy functions or miniature medical diagnostic X-ray machines with tube currents below 1 mA. This standard does not apply to single components weighing more than 25 kg. This standard does not apply to portable digital medical X-ray imaging systems transported by ambulances and rescue aircraft.
