Scope
This standard provides a framework for pest risk analysis, describes the pest risk analysis process, and divides the pest risk analysis into three stages - initiation, risk assessment, and risk management. This standard focuses on the initiation stage and proposes common requirements such as uncertainty, information collection, documentation, risk information exchange, and consistency in the three stages of pest risk analysis.
This standard is applicable to the pest risk analysis of plants and plant products within the scope of the International Plant Protection Convention.
