Scope

Scope: This document specifies the technical requirements for the site environment, park planning, and garden construction of Xiangnan Navel Orange Orchards. This document is applicable to the construction of Xiangnan Navel Orange Orchards; Main technical content: 3. Terms and Definitions The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document. 3.1 Xiangnan Navel Orange Xiangnan Navel Orange refers to navel oranges grown in cities such as Yongzhou, Chenzhou, Shaoyang, Huaihua, Hengyang, and Zhuzhou located between 110°E and 114°E and 25°N and 26.5°N. The main varieties are medium-ripening Navel oranges, covering early- and late-ripening Navel oranges. The soluble solids content should be ≥11%, and the oranges should have quality characteristics such as "red and clean, sweet and fragrant, and aromatic" that distinguish them from other production areas. 4. Site Environment 4.1 Air and Water The orchard should be located near water sources and more than 5 kilometers away from polluting sources such as factories and mines. The quality of irrigation water should comply with GB 5084, and the air quality should comply with HJ/T 332. 4.2 Climate Annual average temperature, January average temperature, absolute minimum temperature, and annual accumulated temperature not less than 10°C should comply with NY/T 975. 4.3 Terrain Flat land, or hilly and mountainous areas with a slope of ≤25°. 4.4 Soil The organic matter content of the soil should be ≥1%, with a thick soil layer and an active soil layer of more than 60 cm. The groundwater level should be less than 1 meter, and the pH of the soil should be 5.5~6.5. If these conditions are not met, soil improvement is required, which should comply with NY/T 975. The soil environmental quality should comply with GB 15618. 4.5 Traffic The constructed citrus orchards should be connected to main highways and have convenient transportation. 5.
