Scope

This standard specifies the type and dimensions of coarse-shank tapped screws with necks with a nominal diameter of M3 to M10, as a supplement to the fine-shank tapped screws covered in GB/T 3464.2. This standard applies to long-shank machine tapped screws. The technical requirements for the tapped screws covered in this standard (including markings) comply with the provisions of ISO 8830.
