Scope
Main Technical Content: The basic requirements for Shangpu carrots must meet the following criteria: a) Uniform color and morphological characteristics; b) Intact and smooth skin; c) Fresh and non-wilted; d) Tender and firm flesh; e) No rotten fruits. The hygiene requirements must comply with GB 2762 and GB 2763. **Grade Classification**: Shangpu carrots, provided they meet the basic and hygiene requirements, are divided into four grades: - **Extra Grade**: Meets all requirements specified in Table 1. - **First Grade**: Meets all requirements specified in Table 1. - **Second Grade**: Meets all requirements specified in Table 1. **Table 1: Grade Classification for Shangpu Carrots (continued)** **Item** **Extra Grade** **First Grade** **Second Grade** **Sensory Characteristics** - No misshapen roots, root hairs, or cracked roots. - Consistent and smooth flesh color without cold damage or mechanical damage. - No green or purple discoloration below the root tip. - Single fruit weight deviation not exceeding 10% of the average value. - Pith ratio less than a quarter. - Product size meets the requirements of Table 2's **Long (L)** grade. - Total misshapen roots, root hairs, or cracked roots not exceeding 3% of the total. - Flesh color generally consistent and smooth, with no obvious cold damage or mechanical damage. - Green or purple discoloration below the root tip not exceeding 20% of the total. - Pith ratio between one-third and one-quarter. - Product size meets the requirements of Table 2's **Medium (M)** grade or higher. - Total misshapen roots, root hairs, or cracked roots not exceeding 5% of the total. - Flesh color allowed to be slightly discolored, with minor cold damage or mechanical damage. - Green or purple discoloration below the root tip not exceeding 30% of the total. - Pith ratio between one-third and one-half. - Product size meets the requirements of Table 2's **Short (S)** grade or hig
