Scope
This standard specifies the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry determination method for 15 rare earth elements, including yttrium (Y), lanthanum (La), cerium (Ce), praseodymium (Pr), neodymium (Nd), samarium (Sm), europium (Eu), gadolinium (Gd), terbium (Tb), dysprosium (Dy), holmium (Ho), erbium (Er), thulium (Tm), and ytterbium (Yb), in seawater. This standard is applicable to the determination of 15 rare earth elements in estuaries and near-shore seawater. The method detection limits of this standard are referred to in Appendix A.
