Scope

This standard specifies a method for determining the heat resistance of electrical insulating varnish. The method determines its heat resistance by measuring the electrical strength of the insulating varnish coated on glass cloth before and after thermal aging.
This standard is used to evaluate the temperature index in order to determine the suitability of electrical insulating varnish in electrical systems.
