Scope

This standard specifies the classification, dimensions, appearance, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates of seamless steel tubes with internal threads for high-pressure boilers (hereinafter referred to as internal threaded tubes). This standard applies to the manufacture of cold-drawn internal threaded seamless steel tubes made from high-quality carbon structural steel and alloy structural steel for boilers operating at pressures of high pressure and above.
