Scope

This document describes the spectrophotometric method for determining the phosphorus content in water treatment agents.
This document is applicable to the determination of orthophosphate, total inorganic phosphorus, total phosphorus, and total organic phosphorus in water treatment compound agents. The phosphorus content determination range is less than 10% (calculated as PO43-). For water treatment compound agents with higher phosphorus content, they can be diluted and then measured.
This document is not applicable to the determination of phosphorus content in iron-based water treatment agent products.
