GB/T 43104-2023 Carbon based films—Classification and designations
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the classification, naming, and abbreviations of carbon-based films. The carbon-based films described in this document are those primarily composed of carbon and prepared by physical vapor deposition (PVD) or chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Carbon-based films include amorphous carbon-based films (also known as diamond-like carbon (DLC) films), CVD diamond films, graphite films, and polymer-like carbon-based films.
This document applies to carbon-based films produced on an industrial scale. It does not apply to other types of carbon-based films that have not yet achieved industrial-scale production.
This document only pertains to carbon-based film materials and does not cover composite coatings composed of a main functional layer and additional upper/lower layers.
Films in which the components and/or properties of each layer vary with thickness are referred to as gradient films. The carbon-based films discussed in this document all refer to non-gradient films.
Carbon-based films may contain elements such as hydrogen, metals, or other elements. The metal components also include metal carbides. The doped carbon-based films covered by this document only include film systems primarily composed of carbon elements. For carbon-based films in which carbon exists in the form of carbides, this document does not apply to metal-doped amorphous carbon-based films (a-C:Me, a-C:H:Me) systems.
This document does not apply to carbon materials such as fullerenes, carbon nanotubes, graphene, and graphyne.
