Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, and storage of epoxy asphalt anti-corrosion coatings.
This standard applies to two-component coatings composed primarily of epoxy resin and coal tar pitch, with the addition of curing agents, solvents, pigments, etc. These coatings include ordinary primers, topcoats, and thick-paste primers and topcoats, and are primarily used for heavy anti-corrosion coatings on steel structures and concrete surfaces underwater and underground.
