GB/T 23298-2009 Ships and marine technology—Gas inflation systems for inflatable life-saving appliances
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the performance and test requirements for the inflation system of inflatable life-saving devices that comply with the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS 1974) and its amendments, and the International Life-Saving Appliance (LSA) Code.
The inflation system includes inflation gas, cylinder valves, cylinder triggering devices, high-pressure hoses, pressure release valves, inflation valves, exhaust valves, check valves, and delivery valves. This standard only includes systems in which compressed gas in cylinders is used as the inflation medium.
This standard does not include the technical requirements for cylinders, which should meet the requirements of the relevant competent authorities. This standard applies to life-saving equipment such as life rafts, marine evacuation systems, and rescue facilities. This standard does not apply to personal life-saving equipment such as inflatable life jackets.
