Scope

This document specifies the terminology and commercial specifications of hydraulic breaker hammers installed as auxiliary equipment on carriers. Carriers typically refer to earthmoving machinery defined in ISO 6165, such as excavators, excavator-loaders, skid steer loaders, and compact loaders; or hydraulic breaker hammers installed on the front ends of drilling rigs, pedestal boom systems, demolition robots, and other boom arms.
Hydraulic breaker hammers are typically used for demolishing or crushing rocks, concrete, bricks, asphalt, etc.
This document does not apply to breaker hammers powered by pneumatic, thermal, or electromagnetic energy, nor to portable or handheld breaker hammers.
