Scope

This standard specifies the quantitative test method for soil particle size distribution.
This standard is applicable to the quantitative determination of soil particle size analysis. The particle size distribution of particles larger than 75 μm (retained on a 200-mesh sieve) is determined by sieving; the particle size distribution of particles smaller than 75 μm is determined by the necessary data measured by a liquid density meter during the sedimentation process.
