Scope
This standard specifies the preparation before installation, the quality requirements for installation, the installation process, inspection, and commissioning (including commissioning during navigation) of heavy-duty submarine cable reels.
This standard applies to the installation and commissioning of heavy-duty submarine cable reels laid horizontally or vertically. Other submarine cable reels can be implemented with reference to this standard.
