Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for two types of thermoplastic multilayer (non-vulcanized) hoses and hose assemblies used for transporting liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied natural gas. Each type is divided into two categories: one for onshore use, and the other for offshore use:
——Category A is for onshore use;
——Category B is for offshore use.
This standard applies to thermoplastic multilayer (non-vulcanized) hoses and hose assemblies with an inner diameter of 25 mm to 300 mm, a working pressure of 1.05 MPa to 2.5 MPa, and a working temperature range of -196 ℃ to +45 ℃.
Note: Offshore liquefied natural gas hose assemblies are also specified in EN 1472-2.
