Scope

This part of YY/T 0583 specifies the requirements for aseptically supplied water-sealed disposable thoracic drainage devices (referred to as drainage devices). The device can be used for gravity drainage or connected to a negative pressure suction system to achieve suction drainage.
The requirements for the autologous blood reinfusion system on thoracic drainage catheters inserted into the patient's thoracic cavity, dry-sealed thoracic drainage devices, and thoracic drainage devices with autologous blood reinfusion systems are not included in this part.
Drainage devices intended for patient carrying are not applicable to this part.
