Scope
This standard specifies the metrological characteristics, calibration conditions, and calibration methods of the radiation acoustic field of ultrasonic transducers (also known as "ultrasonic probes") used for ultrasonic nondestructive testing. This standard applies to plane ultrasonic transducers and focused ultrasonic transducers with a frequency range of (0.5~15) MHz. The calibration of the acoustic field characteristics of other ultrasonic transducers and their arrays can also be referenced for use.
