Scope
This document specifies the energy efficiency testing and evaluation methods and energy efficiency indicators for typical shell-and-tube heat exchangers. This document is applicable to liquid-liquid non-phase-change operating conditions and shell-and-tube heat exchangers with arched baffle and plain tube bundles. The applicable test media are: a) the shell-side medium is THERMINOL 55 heat transfer oil (heat fluid); b) the tube-side medium is water (cold fluid).
