Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for the welding of copper and copper alloy composite steel plates (hereinafter referred to as copper-steel composite plates), including the welding materials, welders, pre-welding preparations, welding processes, welding quality inspections, and repair of welding defects.
This standard applies to the welding of copper-steel composite plates with a total thickness exceeding 8 mm, where the outer layer is made of copper or copper alloy and the inner layer is made of carbon steel or low-alloy steel. The welding of other copper-steel composite plates not specified in this standard may also be used as a reference for welding.
