Scope

This section applies to DC fixed capacitors used in electronic devices, which have a metallized layer as the electrode and a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film as the dielectric.
These capacitors may have a "self-healing feature" based on the usage conditions. They are mainly used in situations where the AC component is less than the rated voltage. This section of capacitors includes two performance levels: Level 1 for long-life applications, and Level 2 for general applications.
