Scope
This standard specifies the determination of the structure and morphology of polyacrylonitrile (PAN)-based carbon fiber preforms.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the average molecular weight and molecular weight distribution, copolymer composition, stereoregularity, crystal orientation function, surface element composition, surface morphology and surface roughness, micropore defects, glass transition temperature, pre-oxidation thermal effect, and thermal decomposition of polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fiber preforms. It is also applicable to the determination of the surface element composition, surface morphology, surface roughness, and micropore defects of polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fibers.
