Scope
This standard specifies the general technical requirements for the quality inspection of antimicrobial susceptibility test strips. It includes terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, labels and user instructions, packaging, transportation, and storage. Among them, antimicrobials refer to the general term for antibiotics and chemically synthesized antimicrobial drugs. This standard applies to antimicrobial susceptibility test strips (hereinafter referred to as susceptibility test strips) used in medical laboratories for disc diffusion antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
