Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles and structure, product classification and basic parameters, technical requirements, test equipment and test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for plug-in infrared radiation thermometers (hereinafter referred to as "thermometers"). This standard applies to thermometers with a temperature measurement range of 800 °C to 1,600 °C, which use corundum tubes as temperature measurement probes and are connected to photoelectric converters and display instruments to output temperature values.
