Scope

This document describes the methods for determining nicarbazin in feed using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
This document is applicable to the determination of nicarbazin in compound feed, concentrated feed, and premixed feed additives.
In the HPLC method, the detection limit for compound feed and concentrated feed is 0.5 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is 1 mg/kg; for premixed feed additives, the detection limit is 1 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is 2 mg/kg; in the LC-MS/MS method, the detection limit is 0.02 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is 0.05 mg/kg.
