Scope

This standard specifies an accelerated test method for determining the resistance of coatings to wet scrubbing and cleanability, in order to evaluate the coating's resistance to wear caused by repeated cleaning operations and its ability to resist the penetration of contaminants. For the evaluation of the coating's cleanability, only the evaluation method is specified, not the type of contaminants. Note: Since these properties not only depend on the quality of the coating, but also on the substrate, application methods, drying conditions, and other factors, the results obtained cannot be directly translated to actual use scenarios. In this standard, the evaluation of the coating is based on a specified substrate, fixed application methods, specified drying conditions, and a specified wet scrubbing method.
