Selection of cuttings for nursery seedlings: - Select healthy jasmine plants with pure varieties, strong branches, and no diseases or pests. - Cut branches that have already woodified or semi-woodified. - During spring pruning, pay attention to removing branches damaged by winter frost. - Nursery - 5.2.1 Basic requirements: - The environment should comply with the provisions of NY/T 5010, and the climate and soil should meet the requirements of the Announcement No. 145 of the former National Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine Administration [2010]. - 5.2.2 Nursery preparation: - Nurseries should be located in areas with convenient transportation, flat terrain, and good irrigation and drainage. - The soil texture of the nursery should be sandy loam or loam, with a pH value of 5.5–6.5. - Before planting cuttings, the soil should be deeply tilled to a depth of 40–50 cm, weeds removed, and compost mixed evenly. - The nursery should be leveled, with a width of 100–120 cm between rows and a spacing of 30 cm between rows. - The nursery should have drainage ditches that are 15 cm lower than the nursery ditches. - 5.3.1 Selection and cutting of cuttings: - Select healthy, disease-free, and frost-damage-free woodified cuttings. - Cut them into 12–15 cm long cuttings with three leaf nodes. - The upper cut should be inclined at 40–50°, and the lower cut should be smooth, leaving 1–1.5 cm between the node and the bud. - 5.3.2 Cutting time: - Spring cutting: Early March to early April. - Autumn cutting: Mid-September to early October. - 5.3.3 Treatment of cuttings: - Soak the cuttings in rooting agents such as naphthalene ethylate or indole acetic acid at a concentration of 50 mg/L for 3–5 hours before planting. - Disinfect the cuttings with fungicides for 3–5 minutes. - 5.3.4 Cutting meth
