Scope
This standard specifies the warning levels for road traffic conditions in foggy weather and the method of their classification. This standard is applicable to transportation authorities and meteorological departments in determining the warning levels for the impact of foggy weather on the operation of the highway network (including highways, first-class highways, and second-class highways). The low visibility caused by weather such as smoke, haze, and sandstorms can be implemented with reference to this standard.
