Scope
This document describes the functions of the data link layer encoding and synchronization sublayer in space-to-ground optical communication during deep space missions in the field of spatial data and information transmission, the encoding and synchronization of downlink data, the encoding and synchronization of uplink beacons and optional accompanying data transmission, as well as management parameters.
This document is applicable to high photon efficiency links for space-to-ground and ground-to-space scenarios transmitted through atmospheric channels in the field of deep space laser communication, and can be referenced for other applications.
