Scope

This document specifies the requirements and recommendations for non-destructive testing (NDT) training programs, aiming to coordinate and maintain common standardized documents for NDT personnel training to meet industrial needs. This document sets out the minimum requirements for effective structured training of NDT personnel to ensure compliance with qualification examinations conducted by third-party certification bodies in accordance with recognized standardized documents. In addition to general NDT requirements, this document also provides guidelines for teaching programs such as acoustic emission testing, eddy current testing, leak detection, magnetic particle testing, penetration testing, X-ray testing, ultrasonic testing, visual inspection, thermal imaging, and strain detection. Requirements and recommendations for NDT training institutions are specified in ISO/TS 25108.
