Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements and test methods for vehicle anti-theft alarm systems installed in passenger cars (with no more than 8 seats except for the driver's seat, i.e., M1 class vehicles). The purpose of this standard is to ensure that vehicle anti-theft alarm systems have high safety, protection, and reliability, and to reduce false alarms. This standard applies to alarm systems that detect any unauthorized opening of doors, trunk doors, hoods, or engine compartment covers in an alert state, send out alarm signals, and can immobilize the vehicle. This standard applies to both vehicle anti-theft alarm systems installed as original equipment in vehicles and those installed after the delivery of the vehicle.
