Scope

This standard specifies the product classification and model naming, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for saturated polyester resins used in powder coatings. This standard applies to saturated polyester resins prepared by polycondensation of saturated diols, dicarboxylic acids, polyols, and polycarboxylic acids at a certain temperature with the addition of a suitable amount of catalysts. They are mainly used in the production of epoxy polyester powder coatings and pure polyester powder coatings.
