Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the carbonate alkalinity in industrial circulating cooling water. This standard is applicable to the determination of carbonate alkalinity in industrial circulating cooling water within the range of 0.01 mmol/L to 4 mmol/L, and is also applicable to the determination of carbonate alkalinity in drinking water and natural water. For water samples with high carbonate alkalinity, the dilution method can be used for analysis.
