Main technical content: This standard specifies the terms and definitions of Lulong sweet potato, a geographical indication product; clarifies that the protection scope of Lulong sweet potato includes Lulong Town, Yanheying Town, Shuangwang Town, Liu Tianzhuang Town, Shimen Town, Panzhuang Town, Mujing Town, Chenguandun Town, Halabo Town, Yinzhuang Township, Liujiaoying Township, Xiazhai Township, and the Economic Development Zone; sets clear requirements for variety selection. Starch-type sweet potatoes have an outer skin color of light yellow or purple-red, coarser internal fibers, and are rich in nutrients with high starch or sugar content, suitable for starch processing. The starch-processing varieties include Lu Xuan No.1, Tengfei, and Jishu 25. Fresh-eating sweet potato varieties have a sweet, fragrant taste and a smooth texture, suitable for direct consumption. These include Jishu 26, Yanshu 25, Watermelon Red, Longshu 9, and Hami sweet potato. This standard particularly solves the problem of no sampling and inspection methods for sweet potato growers, enabling farmers' cooperatives to conduct self-sampling and inspection. It uses the density method and starch content measurement instruments to quickly and accurately detect starch content without damaging samples, with simple and easy-to-implement operations and accurate data.
