Scope

Scope: This document specifies the technical requirements for the planting, cultivation management, pest and disease control, and harvesting of Xiaoyi persimmons. This document is applicable to the production of Xiaoyi persimmons. Main technical content: 3.1 Variety selection: The main cultivar should be the locally excellent Xiaoyi Niu Xin persimmon. Based on soil and climate conditions, suitable imported cultivars can also be selected for local development. 3.2 Seedling selection: Grafted seedlings cultivated on Junqianzi rootstocks are commonly used. The seedlings should be at least 1 m tall, with 3-5 main roots and a diameter of 1 cm-1.5 cm, with 3-5 main roots per seedling. 3.3 Climate conditions: Sufficient sunlight with a daily sunshine duration of at least 2,734.6 hours; an annual average temperature of ≥10.6°C and a minimum temperature of ≥-21°C; annual precipitation of 400 mm-600 mm; located in the hilly area of the eastern foothills of Luliang Mountain. 3.4 Soil conditions: Good drainage and aeration, with sandy loam or light clay loam soils, a pH value of 6.5-7.8, and a groundwater level below 1 m. The soil environment should meet the requirements of NY/T 5010. 3.5 Terrain and topography: Persimmon orchards are preferably located on flat or gently sloping land. The slope should not exceed 25°, with a sunny slope, semi-sunny slope, or gently sloping land at an altitude of 731 m-900 m. 3.6 Planting density: A planting spacing of 4 m*6 m is suitable for pyramidal tree shapes, with a slightly denser planting spacing of 3 m*5 m for other shapes. 3.7 Planting pit dimensions: The pit should be 80 cm-100 cm long and wide, and 80 cm-100 cm deep. 3.8 Base fertilization: Apply 50 kg-60 kg of composted organic fertilizer before planting, mixed with 1 kg-1.5 kg of phosphorus fertilizer. The organic fertilizer and topsoil should be mixed evenly. Half of the mixture should be backfilled below 30 cm, and the remaining half should be applied during planting to e
