Scope

This document defines terms and definitions for organizations and professionals engaged in digital analysis and website analysis, stipulates the relevant service requirements, and establishes criteria for evaluating and assessing the quality of such services. It applies to the collection, analysis, and reporting of digital data through various methods and technologies for market, public opinion, and social survey purposes.
This document is applicable to digital analysis and website analysis conducted proactively by service providers, commissioned by clients, or conducted by clients themselves.
This document is applicable to research activities in digital and website analysis, such as:
—— Understanding the usage of websites by tracking visitors' time spent and behaviors through the use of cookies, web beacons, and other methods, as well as cross-site browsing;
—— Continuously measuring online access through installed measurement software on members' desktop computers, mobile devices, or tablet devices in online sample databases;
—— Measuring online usage across all platforms through tag-based solutions, which can be integrated with online sample database data to provide hybrid measurement;
—— Social media analysis, collecting, aggregating, and analyzing online comments provided by platforms such as Weibo and WeChat, as well as user-generated content such as blogs, forums, and comments on news websites or other websites.
