GB/T 43525-2023 Ships and marine technology—Navigation and ship operations—Electronic inclinometers
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the performance requirements, test methods, and test results for electronic inclinometers. Additionally, the general requirements for electronic inclinometers are referenced in IMO Resolution A.694(17) and are coordinated with IEC 60945. This document applies to electronic inclinometers that meet the requirements of IMO Resolution MSC.363(92). Electronic inclinometers provide actual heeling angles, rolling amplitudes, and rolling periods to support maritime decision-making processes, avoid dangerous situations, maintain stability (see Appendix A), and assist in marine accident investigations. Electronic inclinometers are primarily composed of a set of sensors, signal processors, displays, input devices, and interfaces with other systems. This document does not apply to electronic inclinometers used for purposes other than ship navigation and maneuvering, such as those used to monitor cargo conditions. When the requirements of this document conflict with those of IEC 60945, the provisions of this document shall take precedence.
