Scope
This standard specifies the test principles, reagents, test devices, samples, test conditions and procedures, calculation of test results, and test reports for determining the amount of oil coating on the surface of electroplated tin plates using solvent extraction, hydrophilic balance, and elliptic polarization methods.
This standard is applicable to determining the amount of oil coating on the surface of electroplated tin plates. The measurement of the amount of oil coating on the surface of electroplated chromium plates (TFS) can also refer to this standard. Solvent extraction is used as the arbitration method.
