Scope

Scope: This document specifies the basic requirements, construction requirements, building materials, construction techniques, factory quality acceptance, and precautions for the construction of sheep sheds in pastoral areas. This document is applicable to the construction of sheep sheds for Albas cashmere goats in Inner Mongolia; Main technical content: 3. Terms and definitions. The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document. - Goat shed (housing for goats): A simple livestock building used for raising goats, including sunshades, open sheds, semi-open sheds, and heated sheds. - Sunshade/shelter: A building with no walls, mainly used for shading and sheltering from rain. - Open-front housing: A building with one or two open sides, mainly used for shading, wind protection, and rain shelter. - Semi-open-front housing: A building with one side of walls and one side of half-height walls, or two sides of half-height walls, with the open part usually on the south side. 4. Basic requirements: According to the characteristics of Albas cashmere goats and their requirements for temperature, humidity, and lighting, combined with the local climate conditions of Otoq Banner, the shed should be built to meet the following requirements: - Good lighting performance, easy closure or semi-closure, and good ventilation to prevent cold air invasion and create a microclimate environment conducive to growth, development, and reproduction; reduce energy loss and nutritional maintenance needs. 5. Construction requirements: - The site selection of the shed should be in a location with high altitude, sun exposure, wind protection, sufficient water supply, good water quality, flat terrain with good drainage, low groundwater level (<2 m), and a slight slope (1%–3%).
